Wireless problem?

I have a new laptop, the wireless button is on and I have logged on to our home wireless network. However, the laptop is still not recognizing that it is connected. Even though the signal is excelent, there is a yellow triangle w/a black arrow next to the connectivity icon. What is the problem and how can I fix it. Kinda desperate here, so thanks in advance for the help!

Are you sure you're "logged on" to your network? Maybe your signal is protected and you need to type in the passcode.

If your using Windows XP, you can "view your wireless networks" in your area. See if you are seeing any. Control panel has a wireless network wizard that may be helpful.
