I want to make a road trip but I dont know how much money I need?
I want to drive up to north carolina from south florida in a dodge caravan and I was wondering if anyone out there has any idea of how much money I need to make the trip. I made the mapquest and it says the drive is like 787 miles and about 15 hours... please if anyone could help me on this it would be great! thanks

Well, I drove to Marco Island, FL From NH. And it only cost me 250 dollars for gas but I was driving a Grand Am GT.
It shouldn't cost you more than 150$

Last year I took a trip from N.C. to California. I took $5,000. But I had a blast! The drive took us 2 and a half days straight. We did stop one night in Albuquerque. I loved it there and have thought about moving there since. We drove our 2000 Lincoln Navigator and spent about $600 dollars driving there and back but that doesn't include driving around Cali and Mexico. Road trips are always fun and if you have the cash hit the road.

Find out what your mileage is then do the math. Over estimate what you will need, because you will need the extra money. Make sure your vehicle can handle the trip, if it breaks down can you fix it. Do you have access to emergency cash/credit if you are stranded. Don't' carry a lot of cash, have a debit card that you can use on ATM's.
