A question for English cricket fans ... should Monty Panesar ...?
Monty Panesar's 5-wicket haul was the 3rd main factor for England's innings + 120 run victory in the 2nd Test held at Old Trafford last week besides century from Ian Bell & Cook & Harmisson's 11-match haul.
So .. should England select Monty for the World Cup 2007 in the Carribean? Please suggest why yes or why not.

Monty got good stamina power one day he bowled first over to last over against india 37 overs continuosly who cannot achieved yet., But for ODI he must prove himself as economic bowler

Monty haven't got anything special, he is an ordinary spinner, even his ball turns rarely, but as English team has seen an adequate spinner after a long time, they are overwhelmed. I dont think that Monty can handle the pressure of Aussies, and I can bet Aussies will give him some stick, he is just an ordinary spinner and he can only outfox 'timid asian' on a supporting wicket. If someone really go hard at Monty he wont be able to deliever all this, Pakistan and India played him over conciously and thats where they missed the trick.
But I think he'd be a good asset for English team for years to come, and he should be selected for WC 2007, and I'm sure he'll be.

Well not so early, even great spinners like Anil Kumble are not getting a chance for the World Cup. So i belive that Panesar has to play some test cricket

he is poor in field and his bowling is also not good in 1 dayer he should be given 20 or 30 overs to take a 1 wicket.so iam saying that england should have a new fielding coach and bowling coach otherwise they will lose in the world cup by an small team like u.aaaa.eeeeeeeeeeeeeee?

No, he is a bit of a liablity in the field. He has vastly improved with confidence. A World Cup may be a step too far.

Yes, because he is a good spin bowler and in the carribean ground he can easily turn the ball.

no...hes not a one day type at all....he still ahs 2 do a lot...hes slow in field and poor at batting...and it is a bit too early to rank him above giles...its very early days 4 him...i dont think he can trouble batsmen continously...2 test matches more 2 go..i feel he s not gonna be successful!!
