Because there are to many children trying to act like an adult is the reason it done. How many children have you talked to. They normally fail in many areas of maturity. What sets my bowels on fire is a 16 year old girl on the 20s and 30s section why is she there, what is she trying to prove other then how immature she really is, then there are the Young boys who still can't cross the street without mama's permission and are stuck with raging hormones decides that they can fool an real adult about their age. another thing how old do you think the boys are that entire conversation borders on sex. 16 and under. and if you find another adult and all of his conversation borders on sex then you have a sick person on your hands. as for your question no it does not make sense that you are unable to tell from the conversation about how old that person is. If not then why even bother because 90% of the time you don't talk to a stranger any way. So why even bother going to a chat room........P.S. How many children use their age as an excuse to say that you are to old for me, But they are in the 20s and 30year old chat rooms. That is why I no longer Visit any chat rooms. And how many time have you entered a chat room say hi all and no child or adult responds, and 99% of the women are so turned off from the young boys talking about sex, that an older woman won't respond to you any way. So why are the older adult in these chat rooms any way. Why?

I think you are looking in the wrong place for relationships. Chat rooms are full of perverts looking to cyber. I would stay away from those if I were you.

Relationships are necessary for emotional and personal growth. If you go your whole life without developing any relationships, have you really lived. Some say who you are can be defined by your relationship.

I don't chat in rooms because of the same thing that you are complaining of. I am 25 and I don't have time for people who are looking to pray on what they think is my naivete. I am very world weary and sophisticated for my age and I don't have time for their stupidity.

You can have closure even without a discussion. Sit and write a letter and say all the things you want to say. Mail it or don't mail it, your choice. The actual dialog if it turns into an argument isn't all that satisfying. Of course its really nice to have that back and forth when both people are stating all their appreciations for the good times. I always like remembering the good things when something ends. Even if it ends with some regrets.

i one of the safety thining i do .i for one don't want to talk to a young under age person and say the wrong thing .i have kidsof my own you have a lot of pervs. out there who love to get with young kids .so i think it is best to ask this question asl all the time .and some time it could be the cops so be care

I was born in December 1957. I really am 48 years old. 49 later this year. I never lie about my age (or my gender or whereabouts for that matter) for the very reason that it keeps the nuisance brats and the paedophile over-age perverts pretending to be kids well away from me.

because most people are only looking to hook up with someone.... for those just looking for friendship it doesn't matter. Personally I prefer not to talk to people from certain places just because I can't understand them and they never make any sense.
