how do you open an Toshiba satellite laptop in dos ?

Win XP,

Start menu, Run then tupe "CMD" this will open up a DOS

window

No OS Via FDD

Place a bootable floppy in the floppy drive, and boot off of that,

No OS Via Optical drive

Create a Bootable CD off of http://www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/cdrom/

That depends on what opperating system you have, I dought that your laptop is old enough to actually operate with dos, I believe that Windows 98 was the last operating system that ran ontop of dos. Anymore dos is basically and emulator. To open a command prompt(dos window) click on start and select run. In the window that comes up type: cmd

dont your self loopy hehehe , in step with probability your driving force of your sound card only corrupted, only reinstall the driving force of your sound card and it will artwork returned, or you may examine your driving force if its put in.
