they are short haired so they should be better then say, a golden retriever. but if youre allergic to dogs, than youre allergic to all dogs. wash it, ALOT. although, i would much rather own a great dane that i had to wash alot than some prissy "fur-less" rat dog (like paris hilton-ish dogs) supposedly meant for people with allergies.

No. There are two things that cause dog allergies: dander and saliva. You can be allergic to either or both of these. Such large dogs will create a lot of dander, even with short hair because they have a large surface area. Great Danes can sling saliva to the ceiling, get it all over you, your clothes, furniture, dishes, etc. This means they are not good for allergy sufferers. Good dogs for allergy sufferers are poodles, bichon frises, portuguese water dogs, and the like. No dog is great for someone with a saliva allergy, which is why many people still have problems with these breeds.

in case you get a cat it really is fairly below a three hundred and sixty 5 days previous, they likely could be both spayed or neutered, and some shelters will comprise that with the adoption value for youthful cats. A cat on my own, with a window to look out, can do ok in an position of abode. A cat tree is smart for workout and leisure, and optimal toys you receives are truly a lot less intense priced. optimal use clumping cat clutter, and scent themes truly are hardly ever an argument. if you're stressful, then you definately really could want to judge an computerized clutter container which sweeps the clumps into an enclosure after use. of course, lengthy haired cats shed the substantial, yet you receives shedding from short haired cats also. known brushing and combing will shrink that to a low element. so a lengthy way as scratching, optimal cats take suited away to cardboard scratchers. And cats could suitable be knowledgeable to now no longer scratch on sofas, etc. And there are smooth paws that you'll cover your cats claws with which will artwork for diverse weeks before they'd want to get replaced. if you're truly in contact about scratching, optimal shelters could have cats which have already been declawed. Please do not get a cat and then come to a call to declaw it. keep in mind that the more effective youthful the cat, the more effective turbocharged it really is going to likely be. So be confident your position of abode is new child proofed, as your cat will favor to get onto and into each little ingredient. regularly, your vet expenditures will run about $100/3 hundred and sixty 5 days (vaccinations and make certain ups), and nutrition and clutter likely lower than $25/month. So your substantial initial outlays could be adoption expenditures, and getting clutter packing boxes, nutrition dishes, per chance a cat tree, and some a lot less intense priced toys like hairy mice. If the cat has now no longer been fixed, spaying is larger intense priced than neutering, and expenditures selection from $100-2 hundred, with men lower than that.

I don't know about great danes, but if you want a dog that is easier on allegies, try getting any breed of dog mixed with poodle. The hair of poodles balls up when it falls out...it doesn't just float all over the place like a cat's hair type does.

You didn't say what you are allergic to or what type of allergies you have, Have yourself tested for animal dander before you invest in an expensive dog.

Hair is hair. What you're allergic to is the dander---so go with a dog like a shih tzu, poodle, bichon--these are all "shedless" dogs (less dander)--although they do need grooming.

Unfortunately not. Hypo allergenic breeds would be poodles, bichon frises, or soft coated wheaten terriers.
