Does anyone think that Michelle Wie firing her caddy will make her a better golfer?

Apparently her quote was, "Yu soo bad caddie; yu na suppos-a let me cheat more! I get a big trouble again! No soup for you!"

Seriously, I wonder if she somehow blames him for her latest rules violation? Or, it may be a delayed response to her first rules violation when they both screwed up a simple drop!

Since she has used the phrase, "I'm only 16" about 30 times recently she strikes me as someone who doesn't yet accept responsibility for her own actions - so firing the caddy may indicate that somehow she blames him for her poor Brittish Open performance.

Anyway, I think the only thing that will make her a better golfer is growing up.

I'm guessing that her father made the decision, and I'm guessing it has to do with conflict of personalities. Golfers are at their best when they have a caddie that they mesh with both on a personal and professional level. Michelle Wie, being sixteen also needs a caddie who can help bridge the maturity gap by preventing her from making rookie mistakes. Since she has made a lot of them, this guy clearly wasn't doing that. Plus, golfers change caddies all the time - if she weren't in the media eye we'd never have heard about it.

  • She's 16!

    When you're 16, nothing's your own fault.

Michelle Wie is a 16 year old attending the most expensive private school in Hawaii.

    she behaving exactly as expected.

I don't understand why she gets so much press. She's never won. She's a young girl that the media thinks we should care about, why?

I couldn't care less about women's golf, imagine how much I care about her caddy.
