Click Start -> Run -> Type cmd then press Enter -> in the screen type Ping URL then press Enter
You can optain ip from there

if you want to know what is the exact IP address for any web site, go to start menu --> RUN --> CMD and press enter
now type
netstat -n -b
make sure you only open one internet explorer window, then it will show you that internet exploere is connect to remote IP ???.???.???.???

don't worry that much.
simple try
ping <URL>
in the MS DOS window.
Start> Run> Command will take u there.

start>run>ping <url> -t or open the webpage go to start>run>cmd> netstat -n
