Question for the indian fans ahead of the tri-series?

it should be Shewag and Sachin...as Dravid remains back bone...if he broken in front how can India stand then,.....

I think In bowlers Zaheer Khan stands in front as rest only surviving becos Zaheer was Ganguly's gud freind....and Munaf has come a long way but one day is still a different ball game all together....Pathan can regain his form...as Zaheer isi not playing Sreesanth and RP Singh ....can be option other than Harbhajan Singh and Powar as Mumbaite should be anyways in the team as BCCI president is Mumbai wala.

Firstly, I would like to go with the Sehwag/Tendulkar pair. Sehwag as you know is a hard hitter of the ball and can get quick runs, Tendulkar on the other hand can hit a few shots and rotate the strike, he is an experienced player as well. Rahul Dravid can take the No. 3 posistion

Regarding bowling we ought to have Irfan Pathan because he is an all rounder and he can come back to fotm if he will play, Ajit Agarkar-the most experienced of the bowlers, Harbhajan Singh - there has to be a spinner, Munaf Patel-he is in good form & Murali Karthick-Well he is also an experienced spinner

none other than sachin and sehwag..dravid is a madeshift opener and india needs him at number 3 or 4...to repair any early damage...because sehwag cnat play down the order...and sachin and sehwag both like scro=oring quick runs...in the early overs...dravid provides more stability in the middle order...it should be sachin n sehwag

as far as bowling is concerned....india should play with 5 genunine bowlers...not 4!! u cant just rely on sachin n sehwag to bowl the 10 overs...for 80 0dd runs...this has created problems in the past...with a strong batting line they should play with 5 bowlers...as the wicket keeper is quite a nice batsman...sachin sehwag dravid yuvraj raina dhoni...all r pure batsman...pathan is n all rounder...powar the of spinner...munaf patel...agarkar and sreesanth!! best possible team 2 play

i beleive it will be sachin and sehwag. i really think sachin will be back to his best since his elbow is 100 % now. i think the 11 could be like this

i think ind will play 4 bowlers since the likes of sachin, sehwag and yuvraj can bowl a few overs. pathan and power will play since they can both bat and i think they could play 3 seamers since the other part timers are all spin bowlers. sree has been a regular in the odi team and has done well and munaf is ind fastest bowler so i feel they will give him a few games with the world cup coming up to give him more experience. i think the batting line up may vary. if sachin and sehwag put 50 or 60 + runs for the first wicket i think dravid will come in at no.3.if ind lose a early wicket they prob would send up dhoni or pathan to increase the run rate. i hope india win and i think they will. ind have a gd record against SRL and SAF are all over the place at the moment.

reason: left hand right hand combination. both explosive in power play. mongia's success in english county. mongia is high in confidence and in regular touch of d game while sachin is making a comeback after an injury.sachin at no.4 will bring solidity in middle order.will ease out pressure from sachin.mongia has opened earlier also and once made 150 something.

reason:it is more a process of elimination than selection. sri lanka play spinners well i.e no place 4 powar. india has 3 part time spinners i.e no need of powar again. RP singh is out of touch and not accurate while on sri lankan pitches accuracy is must i.e rp singh is out. no help of swing and seam in sri lankan conditions i.e. no place 4 irfan. moreover agarkar is also a bowling all rounder.

first of all the correct pair for opening is sachin n sehwag it is because they both r specially the sehwag which is a great hitter so he will get the support from the sachin as u remember that in the Multan test match against Paks with the help of the sachin he was able to make 309 run.about the bowlers is the Indian team there should be irfan,munaf,srisant,sachin n sehwag should be their.

the correct pair would be sehwag and tendulkar. they've done it before, and they can blast the sri lankan fast bowlers. dravid should come at no3 cuz then he can withstand the pressure put on by murali (only ppl with batting style like his can).

I would pick 4 bowlers, mainly because of the experienced batting line up. yuvi and sehwag are also bowling well these days, so they can also pitch in. the four are :Pathan, harbhajan, sreesanth and ajit agarkar. these are undoubtedly the best!

Sehwag and Tendulkar because they were old Indian openers and did well. They may do now also.

Irfan and Munaf should open the bowling. Sreesanth, Harbhajan and Kumble should continue. I have stated like that because Irfan and Munaf are good fast bowlers. Sreesanth is also good, he can also open bowling with Irfan. Harbhajan and Kumble are are god spinners. So they are bowling at last.

1. I think to beat Sri lanka Dravid and Shewag should open batting with Sachin coming no.3. Sachin is the player who had been consistant in Sri lanka through out the years.

2. Patan. All others are cubs for Sri Lankan openers !
