one of the things you can do is to set up a hard drive password. basically what this does is prevents anyone from even loading windows without it. many motherboards have options through the BIOS menu to set one, and that is really the easiest way to do it, though otherwise there are several programs out there that will do it. the one i would reccomend is HDD password protection from eXlade software, you can download it here http://www.programurl.com/hdd-password-protection....
Hope this helps!
(btw, even though windows security sucks and takes no effort to hack, you may want to enable that too)

McAfee anti virus program has a privacy feature. You have to enter a password to get on the net.
It also scans for virus's, has a firewall and a spam filter. Its worth a buy.
the version I am using is McAfee Internet security suite 2005 v7
check out their web site!

Make a really long password. As for getting emails nothing you can do about it. They can sign you up from any computer. I suggest change email addresses.

best thing to do is to set a password, and make screen names or accounts for other people like your family, and make sure the password is not same as some ones name in your family, make it hard to guess, so they will not able to get into the account,

If you have windows xp all you have to do is go to the control panel, user accounts, change an account and then pick your account and asign a pasword to it, that's all, and nobody can get to your desktop or any thing else

You can password protect your ID. You can also add additional accounts for them to use with limited access. They can't download anything or install anything with a limited account.

Buy a pull-out drawer for your main hard drive. Then, when you're not using your computer, you can slide it right out. Your brothers can buy their own hard drives and drawers for them.
