What do you think of this new updated rating system on answers?

it stinks... you can no longer get points for rating.. and when you look at the questions you answered you can't even tell which answer was yours! instead of 2 points for voting you only get one!...why do they torture us like this??lol..

I really don't see the purpose because their is no reward or punishment, even if a question or answer receives 100 thumbs down. Of the resolved questions I have reviewed thus far, I see no connection between the new rating systems and the so called best answers.

I also see very few cases were a question or answer got more than 10 ratings, but I have seen plenty with ratings of 1/1 4/1 and etc. The problem I am seeing the most is that the responses on the last page of a question with 60 answers are not even getting rated in most cases.

I really like it. We are here to make Yahoo Answers a place where we can search for information and get our answers. I used to rate best answer earlier however always used to feel that there are so many worth less questions floating around so why not we have rating for questions also as also there was feeling that some time actual best answer is not choosen as best answer and therefore unable to rate that.

However with new system both these are addressed and I am able to rate questions and all answers which make it really nice. At the same time feature of hiding answer which I have rated as not good is also nice feature so that I will not end up seeing not good answer all the time.

Again instead of waiting for question to resolve now we're able to provide instant feedback on all answers and questions. With the ratings, we can also see what others have found helpful.

Not sure if like it or not, what are they going to do with the votes cast? Plus I like to see the actual points and not just the level.

I actually like it. Although, I think we should still get points for a thumbs up.

Do they expect me to tick boxes all the time now too?

Jeeze, you'd think they would have increased our wages with the extra work load!
