Where did you go/plan to go on holiday this summer?

I'm going camping in my back garden for 7 whole weeks!! It'll be great. The best bit is always the journey there and back. I can't wait!

I used to go on holiday every year-sometimes camping at various locations on the english south coast or France but since having the four children I haven't been able to go (thats for 12 years)... until this year. The five of us were invited to stay with some relatives for a week in London. The kids enjoyed seeing the sights and travelling on the tube.

Now if only I could have a holiday to get over it...

Went to Menorca for 2 weeks in June.Hated it,bloody awful.Stopped at Cal-an Porter,graveyard of the dead.Highlight o f the holiday was music/TV quiz in The Village Pub.2 vodka and oranges 9.50euros.Bottle of vodka to buy in supermarket 6 euros.Rip off merchants,back to Turkey (Marmaris)next year.

No 'big' holiday this year.

Went to Rome with my sisters for a very cultural long weekend and took a few other weekends around Ireland. Went to a posh hotel for a few nights and a weekend in a small coastal village.

It helped to recharge the batteries a bit....

I went to Kemer/Antalya in Turkey. I live in Turkey but have never been to there before. It's wonderful. I stayed at a hotel, the scenery was sensational. I also made trips to the historical/touristic places like Phaselis and Olimpos which are both ancient city ruins. It was fantastic!

Lanzarote and tenerife. Plan to go back to Lanzarote in october. Amazingly original scenery, it's where they filmed planet of the apes and where NASA test stuff cos the terrain in the national park is most similar to that of the moon. Beaches are good, people are brilliant. Not to touristy.

I have planned to see in my 40th birthday (which end of the month) in New York. Initially I was going to go with my mates...but decided to go with hubby and my 2 kids..as I think it's a place they will enjoy!! It's a place I have longed to visit since childhood!!!!

I live in Malta, but went home to Scotland, l also plan to go back again for Christmas, not so much a holiday, but i enjoy it.

I was in Turkey in Bodrum this summer for a vac. to visit my family and it was more awesome than it used to be. You better take a peek on the turkish official or unofficial websites and man u wont believe that. give it a try... and start with this for instance:
