Head up you are going to play almost every hand that you are dealt so being aggressive is key to winning head's up play. Remember position is key in a full game and heads up it is even more critical. When I'm heads up and I'm on the button i almost always come in for a raise, it gives me fold equity and i have position throughout the hand. Also knowing your opponent is key in how you play. If he was a maniac i would make lots of value bets to him so he could bluff his chips off, let him do the betting for you. If hes tight then i would push the action a lot more.

Heads up is all about momentum. It's important not to get into a pattern of folding too much. Throw away the absolutely worst hands, but whenever you play, you should probably raise.
Especially true if your opponent is playing too tightly and has not adjusted to heads-up play.

when cards come up on the flop, turn, and river, instead of watching the card as they come up watch his eyes. chances are y ou will be able to tell if he gets excited or not excited, then bet accordingly. also try to be consistent with chatter... either talk alot or hardly talk at all

Never let him see a cheap flop. Raise whatever you have, especially from the small blind.
