Tuesday, September 11, 2001. I remember that I was in my car going to school when I heard that the towers got hit. At first I thought that it was a radio show prank, but I flipped stations and realized that it was real. It was about 9 in the morning when i had heard this. This is just one of those tragedies that people in every generation remember, from the Kennedy Assassination, the massacre of the Israeli Olympians in Munich, to the destruction of the WTC.

I believe you are being misled, that 30% could be children who where too young to remember, or foreigners who became americans after the fact

September Eleven year Two Thousand and one at about 8am CST (first plane followeed by a second plane on the north tower)
now if you are referring to the first attaak that was Feb-26-1993

February 26, 1993--WTC was bombed by terrorists, but still stood
September 11, 2001--WTC was struck by 2 planes and collasped

September 11th (a Tuesday) 2001
I was flying out that day from Cleveland to Seattle. Airfare is cheaper to the westcoast, well it was then, on Tuesdays.
