i just built a new pc and attacthed my old hd via usb, i want to gain access to my docs for all my bookmarks but it's prtected , i know the password but it does not give me the chance to enter it , just stops me is the away to access it?

Your old drive still has its old security settings and your new system has no way to translate the SIDs from the old system. You need to take ownership of all files on the drive. Go to the advanced tab of the security permissions screen. Make sure that you select the option to apply the settings to all folders and subfolders. This may take a while, depending upon the number of files involved..
