Where is this available?

I recently saw a website that showed vegetable oil being used as diesel fuel. It will cost about $1.95 a gallon and you get the exact power, mileage everything with it also. You can also have a home filtration system and you can filter the oil yourself, and you can get the oil at some restuarant or something that is trying to get rid of used oil and it will be free most likely because the restuarant doesn't have to pay a fee to get the oil disposed of. I think this is a GENIUS IDEA and for sure if its available in my area im getting a diesel truck Immediately. What do you think of this?

I have a restaurant (in the CS area) and have had 2 different people taking my fryer oil for this purpose. One asked and the other show up in the middle of the night and just takes it!

I have heard that this oil works well with diesel engines.

It wouldn't hurt to contact your area mom and pop restaurants and ask if you could have thier fryer oil....the guy that took mine uses a simple pump. I have a feeling there are a lot of people doing this or trying to do this so you might find competition...and it has been well over a year that they have been taking the oil.

    Best of luck,

    Phil

I don't know about the laws in the States, but I know of a chap in England who got into trouble with the authorities about this. Reason being is that when you buy fuel at the pumps, the price includes road taxes, road accident fund contributions etc. So if you use home made fuel, you are defaulting on these taxes ..... (I'm not sure how they found him out, but they did !)

I think some filipinos already mastered the art of turning used kitchen oil into diesel or something like that. try searching for bio-diesel.

There sure enough Wendy's and McDonalds to keep you in fuel for awhile. I'm not so sure of the cost though.
