Create a new playlist. Drag over all the songs you want on the CD.

By default, iTunes will convert the songs to a playable format for your average CD player. This is about 18 songs.

To make a data or mp3 cd, click on edit, preferences. Select the advanced tab, then select the burning tab inside the advanced tab.

Here you will see disk format and 3 choices:

Audio CD, mp3 CD or data CD. Select the one you want and hit ok.

the highlight your playlist and click on burn

    1. in iTunes, click on iTunes in the menu bar, and then Preferences.

    2. click on Advanced and then Burning.

    3. select MP3 CD as your disc format.

That's it. When you burn your disc, the files will be stored as MP3s.

In iTunes preferences, choose Advanced and click on the Burn tab. Choose which format and click OK.
