Is there still a "practice day" for the Air and Water show on Friday?
I've only ever gone to the show itself, but heard that there's the practice on Friday. We're really busy over the weekend, but was thinking of taking my son downtown to see the practice if it's still on.
Would Navy Pier be a good place to watch?

Yes. They usually begin practicing on Thursday with general fly-bys to get oriented to the flight area - so Thursdays are a little iffy for when/ where to look.
But on Friday they usually stick pretty close to the actual performance schedule. Your best times would be from about Noon to 4 PM. Anywhere between Oak Street and North Avenue would give you some great views.
Remember, rain is in the forecast for today, so things may change.
