If you are asking for only email, then Gmail has the best storage and good browsing speed. If you are asking about the best services offered by an email ID than it has to be Yahoo, services like Photos,Groups, and Answers! all with one ID! WOW! Talk about a broad network of services!
Rediff sucks, hotmail is old now and i haven't been able to sign up on indiatimes cause there is no good ID available(that's the message that I get) so forget about indiatimes and don't even talk about sifi.

Sify is the best as :
1. You can compose ur email in any Indian Language
2. Life time free account i,e, no time limit
3. POP 3 access i,e, you could access sify account through your outlook express and other in liew of little money per year like Rs.300/-.
