I'v gained about 20 lbs in about a month and a half?
This weight gain came on sudden and I have been to the doctor for other problems I was having. I took at test on www.health24.com symptom checker and that led to congestive heart failure!! The Dr didn't really do or check anything. I want to try to loose a little of this weight but not feeling well I'm not sure what to do or where to start. Any help? Also How do I get a Dr to listen and do whatever tests to rule out things? CHF was not what I would have ever thought of but you never can tell I guess. Also I was adopted when I was 2 so I have no medical history of family members to go by. Thanks!

Hi
You could try this plan it helped me loose weight so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

Did the doctor put you on any medications for the other problems? Sometimes they will cause you to lose of gain weight rapidly.
If the doctor didn't do anything or check anything when you talked to him about this you MUST go get a second opion. Twenty pounds in a month and a half is not normal by any means. You need to get a doctor who will listen to your concerns, not shrug them off.
Also get your thyroid checked. That could have a connection to weight gain if it's not doing it's job.
Please look for another doctor as soon as possible!
Good luck and best wishes!

Sounds like you need two kinds of exercise: RESTRAINT and physical exercise. Try a few push backs! Place each palm against the table and push back your chair from the table when you've eaten a reasonable portion of food. Do this 3 times a day.
Trying to blame a physical condition for lack of discipline is the first step in a long battle with obesity. Stop over stuffing your face, eating to relieve bordom and depression,

1. The obvious--could you be pregnant?
2. Are you on any new medications? I know that I gained a lot of weight quickly when I was on zoloft (anti-depressant). Are you on a steroid, like an inhaler, for asthma?
3. Ask around, friends and the like to see what doctor they like, one who really listens. I know there's nothing more frustrating then a doctor who doesn't listen to you.
All the best!

Have you had any other symptoms?
If the doctor isn't listening to you then you need to find another doctor. If you think something is wrong with you, keep searching until you find the answer you're looking for.
