How well is a ford?
Im thinking about getting a ford f-250 crew cab with a v8 diesel. Should I get another kind of this model? How well is this model overall? comfort, power not to pull anything but just power, and gas mileage? I know that EPA does not provide Info on mileage on diesel cars. Please Advice!

Well I my opinion, it is only as good as you want it to be. Being you stated that it is an "F-250" tells me that it is used. As long as the maintenance has been done to the letter at regular intervals, all repairs have been done when necessary, basically this truck has been kept under glass, I think I would reconsider. These engines can be quite reliable, but their efficiency is probably the worst of the big diesels. And as stated by the other answers, the insurance would be high as well.

An F-250 diesel crew cab is gonna have terrible fuel economy. You need to ask yourself what you need this truck for. It would be perfect if you're going to be doing a lot of work with it. But if you're getting it to drive around town, it's gonna suck the money right out of your wallet. And your insurance will be more expensive as well.

The new superdutys are quite impressive. And if you get a deisel engine, you will get about 20 mpg. Which is not bad at all considering my Mustang eats up about 17 mpg in the city.
