So the solution is to convert your Excel spreadsheet into an image that can then be imported.

Try these steps:

With Excel file open, click on File, then Print preview.

Change Zoom, margins, page breaks, etc until you have the view you want to see. Don't worry about getting it perfect, you can always try again.

Then press and hold ALT key then press "Print Screen" key. Release both keys. You have just stored an image to your Windows clipboard.

Now go open MS Paint. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, then click PAINT.

Once Paint opens, paste in the image (I use Ctrl+V)

Tada! Your image of Excel print preview should be displayed.

Now use Paint section tool to select just the portion of the image you wish to use.

You can paste it into a new MS Paint session or directly into MS Word.

I recommend pasting the image into a new Paint session. That way you can save the image using .bmp, .jpg, or .gif format. My recommendation is to save as all three formats, then compare clarity to see which one suits your specific needs. Import the one you want, delete the rest.
