What are your thoughts on Child beauty pageants? Are you for them or against them ?

they should be banned... the poor kids are made up to look like mini adults... if they were dressed like this any other place the parents would be arrested for child prostitution!!!

As long as the kids are enjoying it, it's okay.

But some parents must be reminded these pageants are not for them or about them, so they get carried away as if winning the pageant is their personal achievement. Then in this case, I totally disagree.

I think they go too far. I mean be real here, a four or five year old wearing makeup! Give me a break, The kid is going to have a lifetime to put this chit on. Makeup should not be allowed until the kid is a teenager. And these outfits the kids wear. Give me a break already, They cost hundreds of dollars, for what? Lets back up and start over. Kids should not be exploited.

My sister was a pageant mom with my niece. It did help her in life skills when she got older. It can be good but what I seen on TV now is an obsession for these little girls theses moms are exploiting their children. I was alot different 20 yrs ago with my niece.these kids are forced to live in an adult world and can loose their precious childhood.If you are going to do it you must balance out your childs life,or they will get lost, and teach them it ok to loose noone is perfect.I wonder how many of these little girls will really resent their moms now or later.

No child pageants should be banned! That's the reason why there are pedophiles because we give them the fuel for their sick fantasies.

Against. It is just wrong to make a 6 year old look like a 45 year old "Vegas Girl". Not cool.

they're made for moms trying to live out their beauty pageant fantasies thru their children, and a magnet for pedophiles...a pre-teen girl in makeup looks obscene

its ok if its only for fun. some parents make their kids miserable because they get to competitive about it and make too big of a deal outta it.
