Mark Whiten tied the all-time record with 12 rbis in one game while a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He had 4 homeruns in the game. It was a doubleheader and he got 1 RBI in the other game so he holds the record for most RBIs in one day.

Record is shared by two Cardinals: Jim Bottomley and Mark Whiten, both with 12. Bottomley's came on 9/16/24, in a 17-3 win over the Brooklyn Robins (precursor to the Dodgers) in Brooklyn, Whiten's on 9/7/93 in the second game of a doubleheader in Cincinnati, a 15-2 win over the Reds.

  • Mark Whiten and Jim Bottomley both have had 12 RBI in a game.

JIM BOTTOMLEY DROVE IN 12 RUNS

On September 16, 1924, Bottomley enjoyed one of the greatest batting days in major league history, as he drove in 12 runs (still a ML record) with two home runs, a double, and three singles to power the Cardinals to a 17-3 victory over Brooklyn... In July of 1929, Bottomley blasted seven homers in five games... On August 5, 1931, Bottomley had the second six-hit game of his career, leading the Cards over Pittsburgh 16-2.:-)
