Groups who live in a self-contained vacuum?

How many groups of people (ethnic, religous, political, social, etc...) can you think of that live in their own little world? Where they view the world as "one of us" or "not one of us"...

Off the top of my head, I can think of the following :

Marine Corps Vets,

Orthodox Jews,

British Rugby Fans,

Russian Mafia,

the Chinese,

Texans,

white supremacists,

black seperatists, and

Islamic fundamentalists.

Can you think of any I missed?

Two groups that I fit into, but I have to admit do live in self-contained vacuums a lot of the time:

    -Northeast Liberals

-Academics (though they're often much cooler than anyone else who lives in a vacuum ;) )

    And a group I don't fit into:

-The Religious Right--seriously, do they ever step into the real world?

And as far as British Rugby fans, sure... but we need to add:

    -British/Irish soccer hooligans

    as well.

Some more that always confuse me a bit:

-Scientologists...are they actually serious? Xenu?? Really???

-Fachas (word used in Spain for Fascists/Nazis)...so apparently these people didn't quite get the memo that Franco died...28 years ago!! Modern Spain couldn't be further from a fascist country. There are apparently still fascist supporters throughout Italy, too (and to them: Mussolini's dead too, guys!)

-Barbie collectors...these people are really frightening... I can't even describe them, you just have to know one..

-People who dress up dogs... what?
