Where can I develop Black and White Film?

I don't have a darkroom or darkroom supplies, can cvs or walmart do it?

    No, they won't do it. Unless it's a c-41 film (like Kodak TCN-400), they won't touch the stuff. It'll say "c-41" on the canister if that's the case, incidentally.

    You need to take it to an actual photo developing shop catering to professional photographers. Most places will either do it themselves or send it out. Typically, they'll do it in D-76 and overdevelop by about a stop -- not sure why that's how it is, but that's been my near-universal experience.

    Another good option is to see if there are photography clubs in your area. Photographers are often willing to help one another out -- I put together a whole darkroom out of borrowed equipment when I was a kid and didn't have any money. People are generally pretty nice about stuff like that, and a lot of guys have darkroom equipment sitting around that they haven't used in 20 years.

    Take it to your local camera store and ask there. They will know who can develop your black and white film. Those bozos at Walmart or CVS won't have a clue.

    You might try any studio photography that has been stablished more than 10 or 15 years, usually they have their own B&W lab.
