Why does it take so long for an internet page to load on my pc?
My pc is running smoothly in all other programs, but once im on the internet things slow down dramatically.Ive checked my modem and settings etc and they are fine.Once ive finally moved from a page, then graphics etc load up very quickly, but it is acutally moving from page to page that seems to take a long time. The only things that I see reocuring is a virus box from trend micro(my virus protection)telling me that access by ADW SIDEFIND.L has been denied access. This happens every couple of hours even when the internet is not on. How can I speed things up a bit?

Causes : internet (heavy traffic)
ISP (dial up speed)
Your local access might be overloaded.
Spyware, virus and others
Virtual memory too low (need more RAMs or GIGs)
Clean internet history (caches)
Noisy phone lines (statics)

Sometimes it's due to the millions of other people on the internet, same sight or different. It can be your computer too. A lot of files, software, and added programs can slow it down. My computer has an AMD 64 drive or processor, and if I put too much stuff on sometimes, it can slow down too, but it's still fast. Also, firewalls firewall settings, and popup blocker settings can slow things down.I generally defrag and cleanup temporary files daily too.

Maybe you haven't got enough RAM. Also clear your cookies as these can slow down loading pages. Clear your machine of all viruses.

This happens many times and the only way to effectively solve the problem is to re-install your computer. That will make it good as new...
