Why is banana grow by curving upwards (defying gravity direction)?

Update:

I am not referring to the plant itself but the banana fruit which I think does not need sunlight to continue photosynthesis process. (Fruit is a product of photosynthesis).

Because they grow just like any normal plant. Towards sunlight.

All plants 'defy gravity' they seek to get closer to sunlight.
