Scraps or Bits??

OK guys around the globe, here we have it, I order Fish and Chips with Scraps, my Husband insists they are called Bits, I want a vote on this to solve the on going battle against me and him, let me know what you call them, PLEASSSSSSSE. are they:-

1. Scraps

2. Bits or

3. Known as something else (Please tell me)

Hopefullly I can then solve this on going issue between us, we are from different parts of Yorkshire, I am from Leeds, he is from Huddersfield, is there a difference in different parts of the country??

    In London i have never heard of bits or scraps and they don't do mushy peas down here either.And i bet yours are cheaper anyone who says London is good are lying its a rip off place but don't tell the Americans shhhhhhhh

    But you answered the best answer already - your from different places. one calls it scraps and the other bits and basically are the same. what i think would be cool would see the two of you as a loving and understanding couple I know you can be and join in the middle and come up with your own word for these little morsels.

    What are bits or scraps? Are they those little dross bits of batter left from frying the fish? My family calls them "crumbies," no one else eats them around here. Oh we're from Pittsburgh, Pa, U.S.A.

    I live here in Bridlington which has more than a fair share of fish and chip shops. we call em scraps!

    Scrap in southampon, as far as I know. Bits just sounds weird. Anyway they are disgusting, lol, just buy proper chips!!
