i think a person smiles at times to someone just to be friendly...i know i do...shows that i am not ignoring them...and sometimes people make other people smile..it is better to smile than to frown all the time....a smile is just a nice thing to do...

It could mean a number of things. Happiness, feeling pleased with ones self, flirting, being mischief and Coy.
