why has Yahoo Questions got a limit on how many you can answer?

While I can't speak for the Yahoo development team, I can guess that they want to avoid abuse. If a user has not contributed quality answers (as judged by the points system), its possible that their postings are not helpful and so the user is limited to reduce the negative impact to the community.

In addition, some questions are really not helping the community but instead are spam. So, Yahoo limits the number of questions that a person can file until a user has proven that their answers help the community.

it is only for the peolpe who are lower in levels. It is a reward system. The higher the level the more you get to do
