I need a visa to China, but have to be invited to the country to get one. Any ideas?

You don't need an invitation for any amount of time you wish to spend. Contact your nearest Chinese consulate and get a tourist visa. As of when I left a year ago, once in China you can buy an F visa for 6 months multiple entry but you have to ask people where to do this. Visa companies in Beijing and other cities are doing this at a premium. Alternatively, you can fly to Hong Kong first and get a same-day 6 month multiple entry visa with no need for invitations or documentation.

visas are easy to get just use a visa service from the internet. there are several types of visas . i use the tourist visa its good for 30 days just go to the local police station and get it renewed for a fee ofcorse. if you have friends in china ask them to get a letter from a local business to invite you over as a consultant then its good for a year. depends on your age.

if u're gonna go to school there, then the school should provide all of the things you need for a student visa...if u're going for a short time as a tourist, then your travel agency should be able to help you...or just go to the chinese embassy or consulate in the states...it should be easy, i've been to china a few times and have had no problems

check with your local China Embassy. The most efficient way and simplest to get one actually is to fly through HK and apply it in HK. It takes one day or even half for an urgent visa without any document required.

Have you contacted the Chinese embassy in Washington? Also, talk to a travel agency.

The Bush administration makes it very hard for Chinese to visit the US, but the Chinese government is not so afraid of non-Chinese. Someday, when Crazy George Dumbya Bush is out of office, maybe the US will be able to get along with the rest of the world.

No one invited me and I went in April, just cost a $100 US at the PRC Chinese Consul to get a visa.

We have a Nationalist Chinese friend naturalized US citizen and she won't go to PRC China, similar reasons

My advice go to Japan and bring allot of money, a Dominoes Pizza in Tokyo is $30 US
