Why have i received about 30 emails telling me i have the best answer, when it was only to 3 questions?

It's happening to everyone. Someone's asleep at the wheel, I guess.

It looks like Yahoo has changed the notification e-mail. In the process they have a few bugs. I got at least 5 this morning for one question.

This is all about the difficulty of programming and testing before you implement something. There is an old saying that may apply. "How bad do you want it, the worse you want it the worse you will get it. It often happens when the development team does not have enough time to do it right.

They will work it out.

The same thing happened to me. Their server went on the fritz an replicated the email 10 times.Pity that, we would have had a bunch of free points for a few questions answered and voted best. Oh well.

I heard that there's a guy at Yahoo who's doing a protest for a pay raise and he's locked himself in a room and sending emails until he gets the raise. He vowed to send as many best answer emails as he can until his demands are met.

I'm sorry about the repeated email notifications. We had some trouble with them last night, and have turned them off completely this morning. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

The same thing happened to me. I got 26 fror 2 best answers. Probably 'technical difficulties'.

they dont give all the points. i got 68 emails and only got 40 points. it was just multiple emails for 4 questions. for a moment i thought i got all the points, i was about to scream. haha

yeah me too, 24 in 24 hours for two questions. Complain to yahoo answers, I think someone in their own department is spamming people and should possibly get fired like today!

Yeah, I've received around 85 by now. Pretty annoying, huh?

But no points have shown up on my Answers page for the two answers.
