Pat Riley.
Stan van Gundy (for some reason only God knows) was so popular with the media, I've never seen anything like it...for a guy that's never won anything, the press just loves him...kind of like George Karl...
Riley HAD to win a title... and he did... with the team HE built, with players that EVERYONE criticized when the Heat acquired them... the Heat wouldn't have settled for anything less than a title with Riley, and he delivered.
Of course, the coach of the year award voting is done prior to the start of the playoffs... but Riley still did the best job this year, by far...

Avery Johnson? cmon, Dallas has the most number of assistant coaches. Phoenix coach, Mike D'Antoni should win this. He made you think Steve Nash deserve the MVP, despite being atrocious in the defensive end. He lost Amare for nearly a full season, and still get the same results while proving the critics wrong at the same time.
