Can you prove that your holy book is the truth?

no...that's why it's called FAITH

Well i think you have answered quite well, but to be honest i am stunned. Lost for words. Where did you get all this from? Why it has some points of history that are correct. But some of it...well lets see what others put down. If anything to much information to soak in, all in one read.

I do believe the above question said without criticising other holy books and religions, You have made me think anyway. So now its someone else's turn to reply.

I say to you well done, but bro you cant go making these sort of claims without some sort of proof. Now i am sure someone with more wisdom than myself can debate this with you. I am not going to defend nor am i going to judge, but this to me is an attack at someone else's beliefs. It almost sounds like your own bible.

Or shall i put it another way, Book 2 Psalms 42.43. That's what i say to the above question anyway.

And, yes, i can say without a doubt or hesitation that it is the truth.

Proofs:

1) First of all, Allah (GOD) has challenged human beings who do not believe in Him to come up with a verse just like the Qur'an and so far no one has been able to do that.

2) It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad who was illiterate and could not have collected so much TRUE knowledge that even scientists use today and are amazed with.

3) It guides Muslims in every aspect of their lives (ex: social, political, marital, family, etc.)

4) It has signs and proofs which are just revealed now (scientifically).

5) It has knowledge of the birth, death of human beings, universe and everything and what will happen after death.

6) The Qur'an contains guidance for everyone and has vast knowledge.

And these are only few signs. I hope they amaze you as well, inshallah (God Willing).

how are you going to guage ideal reality devoid of first understanding what ideal reality is? and how are you able to quantify reality in a paintings that's traditionally interpreted as an tricky metaphor? The Bible includes the most blunders, you're saying, yet how are you going to guage the reality of (say) the Tibetan e book of the useless or the I Ching? What about the Gita or the Vedas? Islamic Holy Book "The Quran" has told signs 14 centuries ago, that are being discovered to be Established Scientific Facts today. There is NOT a single sign in The Holy Quran that contradicts any establish fact. Quran has signs that relate to various fields of science (be it embryology, geology, astronomy, biology, zoology, botany and many more fields) and They are all found out to be True and are Now Established Facts in their respective fields. I m glad to c u want to seek The Truth, so dont believe in anyone's hearsay (even mine) coz everyone has their own opinion. u should be able to research and seek The Truth for urself. GOD gave everyone the same brain, its only a matter 'Who uses it?' it's True that brain opens up the more u use it, and the more knowledge u gain.

Since my holy books are mostly non-fiction, I can say yes.

Alot of my holy books are fiction and fantasy but I can still say yes, I was aware of that environment when I read the story.

Anyways, my metaphysical books, maybe.....I have experienced some and understand some, but they are still planting seed for future experiences. So yes I suppose 4th dimensionally

My mythological books, still yes, because I understand the concepts behing the myth and can use the knowledge(some) in practical applications, therefore truth is all around me.

How do I "know" it is truth. Because my personal knowledge created a biased perception that I use to view life and my perception is my limit to my environment and my limits to how far that environment can grow and get bigger and smarter. Maybe even connect to your perception.

I can not prove to you that the Bible is the Book of Truth, but God can! You can have the same Spirit that raised Jesus back to life and who wrote the Bible living in you too! I never had a desire to read the Bible until I became "Born Again." Once I became "Born Again," I could understand it and it became ALIVE! Now I have no doubt that it is the Word of God.

Alll holy books are the truth to the believers who follow those respective religions. The truth exists apart from holy books, although the truth and the writings of any one book, holy or otherwise, may intersect.

Yes I can, however as proof denies faith and without faith God is nothing, to make that proof public would destroy God making my book a lie. A rather large paradox, without the proof, it is True, with it, it must be a lie. Damn.

My holy book is the truth because it doesn't exist and hasn't been written. How can a book that hasn't even been written possibly be a lie?
