When you start to second guess yourself. When things you know are right suddenly seem wrong....step away from the books.

Try to balance studying with outside activities, mindless fun and rest!

You just have to figure it out for yourself, I'm sorry but everyone has their own study needs. I pretty much just have to sit in class, pay attention and take notes and I can remember most stuff. Then I can just look over my notes really fast or have someone quiz me and it will jog my memory and I can do really well on tests. If you are second guessing yourself on tests then you might be over studying and if you just can't remember anything during a test then you probably need to study more.

You over study if you study so much that you go crazy. For example if you had dreams about the subject that you are studying about, you can't stop thinking about it and for some reason you just start repeating the information over and over again.

I don't think you can ever "over" study Every time you study something new gets recorded into your long term memory
