Hahaha!Your sweet dog is just in a deep sleep and having a dream.I guess he thinks hes doing something and acting it out in his heavy sleep dream.I bet sometimes you wake up from a deep dream and then turn over and go back to sleep,or cry out or even laugh or even pass wind and it wakes you up.But your dog ,He twitches those footies of his and if its a sad dream, sometimes he may even wimper out loud as hes sleeping or like you, wake up and go right back to sleeping.Don't worry, its normal.

My dogs do and sometimes even yelp a bit. It is perfectly normal.
They are dreaming. It scared the heck out of me the first time I experienced it. I actually woke my dog and he looked at me like I was crazy! Now I only do if it is annoying me when I'm trying to sleep seeing they sleep in our bed. I wouldn't worry about it but if it still bothers you call and ask a vet. It is always worth asking for piece of mind!

My dog does that and even makes little woof noises in her sleep. She has nothing to have nightmares over so I can only guess that she's dreaming about playing at the dog park. If I lean over and give her a little kiss she will normally wake up and give me kisses back. :)

Oh my god, you'd totally freak out if you saw my dog!! He runs and barks, twitches and all kinds of wierd crap when he sleeps!! It's normal, they dream like us.

PERFECTLY NORMAL. It could be anything from indigestion, to nightmares, or light sleep, and in some very rare cases, a sign of desease, but I would not worry, just like if it were a human. :-)
