Is Christianity for all???

Absolutely not. There is no one correct spiritual path. Nobody has a monopoly on truth and righteousness. What kind of sense does it make to say that there is no one correct sandwich, brand of clothing, way to comb your hair, or job to have yet there IS one corrrect and true faith? People are different and there are many, many different ways to God/spiritual enlightenment/etc. Everybody is responsible for finding the one that best works for them.

As others have said, Jesus invites ALL to come unto Him.

He also invited, "Come follow me"

His call is to all - to the weary, to the leader, to the mighty and to the poor.

But He also gave a number of clues re the eventual size of His following - even after all of His hard work in love and invitation:

"It is harder for a rich man [for instance] to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle", He said.

In another place He stated:

"Broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat; but because strait is the gate and narrow the way that leadeth unto life eternal, few there be that find it."

So, Yes; Christianity IS for all, and will give ALL more meaning and a better life...

But even though Christianity is for all, not all are for it!

Hence, many are called, but few are chosen.

In Matthew 22, Jesus tells the parable of a king who throws a wedding feast. His servants go out and invite everyone in the kingdom to come. They are all given advanced notice of the events and expected to come prepared for it. But when the actual day arrives, one of the guest shows up totally unprepared, no gift, not dressed up, etc. The king takes one look at the man, and orders him tossed out of the wedding.

It will be the same at the end. While the King's (God's) invitation has gone out to everyone, those who do not prepare themselves for the event (their entrance to heaven) will not be permitted in. If God just let anyone in, how would heaven be different from earth? While amny are invited (meaning everyone), not all will be choosen to get in at the end. Those who had the invitation, and did not prepare themselves, will not be admitted.

If Chrsitainity for all? Yes. Is everyone excepting it, preparing themselves, wanting to know God and live with him? No.

Christianity is the following of Jesus. its a term used. There are a few religions that still follow jesus.this scripture used was allowing people to follow and be obedient, and all are invited but only few will actually enter into the gates. Talk the talk and walk the walk and your in.

In order to answer your question accurately, we must clarify the term "Christianity". What most people know as modern Christianity, is not based on the teachings of Jesus. (Council of Nicea, 325 A.D.) As the scriptures have accurately predicted, many false teachings, and false christs have appeared on the religious scene. We should not be surprised by any of this, God said it would happen. What is amazing, is that all religious people, think it must be somebody else's church, not their's. Nobody is even trying to compare the teachings of Jesus, with their creeds and doctrines, to see if they line up. They have eyes, but do not see. Jesus came to this world, to give us a simple and elegant message: "The Kingdom of God, is within you". When we come to God as humble children, and invite Him into our hearts as King and Father, He sends His Spirit into us, and bonds with us. We become new creatures, part mortal, part Immortal. The old values of materialism and fear fall away. Love and Wisdom, become the foundation of all our choices. This, is the basis of the teachings of Jesus. He said, that unless we experience this Spiritual Rebirth, we shall never see the Kingdom of God. The watered down, one size fits all religions of today, are indeed, not for all. Only those who seek God with all their hearts, and do His will in every area of their lives through His Indwelling Spirit, are the Children of God. All of humanity is invited to enter this relationship with our Father. It seems, few will.

Christianity ... and by that I mean the idea of becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ not simply a name thrower....is open to all people. John 3:16 states: "For God so loved the WORLD that He sent His only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." And in II Peter 3:9 the Apostle Peter tells us, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting ANYONE to perish, but EVERYONE to come to repentence." Unfortunately, there are those in this world who refuse the invitation of God and turn their backs on His love for them. The door to heaven is available to all but not all will choose to accept the key that God has offered to us. That key came in the form of a small babe in a manger...He grew up sinless and at the age of 33 willingly laid down His life for those who scorned Him and spat upon Him. He rose again after three days and ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father and awaits the day that His Father says, "Now is the time....time for You to return and gather Your people to You." The door is open....Christianity is for all who will accept the Key.....

Will you accept the Key? Will you allow His blood to wash You clean and give you unconditional access to the throne of God? I pray that you do....

To use a sports metaphor:

Many are invited to summer camp, but few are chosen by the coach to join the team.

IOW: Christian proselytizing invites many to join christianity, but God decides who gets into heaven.

or,

Perhaps many get to heaven by invitation (proselytizing) but God has the power to selectively call a few people to Him who would not otherwise find Him or believe in Him (think Saul/Paul on the road when Jesus is reported to have appeared to him).

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

...but that ALL should come to repentance.

This parable is an illustration of the kingdom.

Although the gift of salvation is freely given, not all will accept it.

Yes, Christianity is open to all people. Everyone has the opportunity to believe & all are invited to believe but few will respond. Few people will be faithful & stand up for their beliefs.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life" Jesus came to earth to save all people...many turned their backs on Him and still do. It's up to the individual...you're invited.

Yes, Christianity is for all people. Yet, for example, many people in the U.S. claim to be Christians, but not all of them truly are. To be a Christian, you have to have a personal relationship w/ the Lord Jesus Christ. Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. Only God knows who are His because only He can see our hearts. You can be going through the motions, but if your heart is not w/ God, you are not His.

Many people answer the alter call, but few have a heart after God. I've seen this exemplified many times in people tht profess to be Christians, but their hearts are hardened. This can manifest itself in the form of arrogance and a sense of superiority, racism, hateful towards the poor, proud hearts, etc. The fruit of the spirit is love. Can you be a Christian w/out this? God chooses those whose hearts are truly inclined towards Him.
