As housing market slump, why agents still coercing buyers to shell out extra cash?
Hi rense, I can give you 3 agents name. Do you want me to email them to you? The most recent conversation I had took place 3 nights ago on 8/26/06.
If you want email evidence, then I have to email them as buyers... It is not that hard.
Hi Searchlight,
I guess San Diego agents are better? May be? A lot of my friends said that housing agents in the SF Bay Area are becoming used car salesman. And funny thing is, I get well treated when going shopping for cars!

So they can squeeze every little bit they can out of buyers to get a bigger profit for themselves. Your only defense is to have knowledge of the market and buying houses.

In what way? I have yet to hear about any agent standing there with a gun pointed at someone's head or a knife at their throat. Call 911 if you know of it happening.
Agents have only two tools in their chest. Sweet reason and emotional appeal. Emotional appeal works better to motivate buyers; that's why *you're* making a feel good, "us vs. them", isolate the evil agents emotional appeal to sell your product. This isn't thinking, it's an appeal to emotion.
Sweet reason is better for everybody, but you really have to work, which is why most lazy agents, and lazy people in general, use emotional appeals far more often.

Agents are playing on peoples emotions most don't care about you once the papers are signed. The don't care if you can really afford the house they just want to squeeze every penny they can out of the sale they know the next few years are going to be very tough. They are just getting ready for the downturn in prices.

because they only get paid when a house is sold/bought so if the seller will not give in any more they will try and tell the buyer it's not a slump and better pay full price, they are just trying to get a sell no matter what

They are only concerned about their commision. So whatever extras they can get home buyers to invest in, pad their pockets.
