Has anybody used CruiseCompete.com?

This is supposed to be a site where you can select a cruise and get competing quotes from travel agencies. Does this really save money? Are the agencies any good?

In my experience, it is really difficult to compare the prices you receive since some are for different cabin categories, some don't include port charges, etc.

Overall the prices weren't really any better than the ones I had already found. The only way to really get an amazing deal is if you can find a travel agent who works predominantly with the line you are interested in. Or on occasion some of the major online sites (Travelocity, Orbitz, Expedia) will have rooms left in their blocks as the sailing date draws near and will discount them.

All in all, when you are looking for a cruise, any bit of information can be useful.

    Happy Sails!
