I had a German teacher in high school that hated the word vagina. He said it was just gross. I always wondered if he meant the word. Come to think of it, he was rather fruity.
I had a biology teacher that hated the word penis. He refused to say it when he taught us anatomy. finally he did say it and he blushed. I think he should have hooked up with my German teacher.

I also think most one-syllable words with the letter "g" or "u" in it are suspect.
