I Have an issue With A Good Friend Who Has A Lot Of Problems?

I HAVE A FRIEND WITH ALOT OF ISSUES AND IT ALWAYS SEEMS LIKE HE'S MADE AT ME WHEN HE'S GOING THROUGH PROBLEMS WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND ALL I'M TRYING TO DO IS HELP??? ANY ADVICE

    He probably doesn't mean to offend you, but screw that! Be very firm not angry and tell him how he reacts and how it effects your friendship negatively. Tell him your sympathetic to his problem and leave it at that - don't suggest solutions. If he listens to you, accepts his actions and promises to not use you as a emotional punching bag, he's a true friend. But if he just gets angry at you instead of understanding...not much of a friend. Only a few times I've had to cut the ties w/a "friend" it's not easy but it's better than being a doormat! Good luck

    Try to be there as a listener only. Let him vent about what it is that is bothering him before you give the advice. Sometimes all a person wants is for someone to listen to them and not advise them. My ex is that way, and believe me I felt just like you. Until I learned that all he wanted was to talk about it and get it off his chest. Sometimes when we are mad we tend to release that frustration on the closet person to us and not really meaning to be rude with you at all. Just tell him talk to me I am here to listen to whatever you have to say. It may just work for you it worked for me.
