Are there any charities that would accept almost new stuffed animals?

Good Will is a good place. Also try a hospital. Our church donated stuffed animals for kids who were ill in the hospital. They make great friends for those that are sick.

Trust me first hand as a Mother of 4 and as a Paramedic the absolute best place to drop them off at is a firestation or an EMS company,children are usually in an ambulance alone and that stuffed animal becomes their comfort,I used to buy them with my own money,we had a boy burned and in so much pain that the only thing that made him calm was his stuffed dog,which he still had in the hospital 2 weeks later!!!

I agree with the hospital donation, as well as checking with your local police and fire departments. Christmas is coming in a few months so also check with toys for tots. i am not sure if they take only new toys though. Your daughter is a good person for wanting to share. you should be proud of her.*S*

What about right at home? There are alot of kids sick in hospital that would love the comfort that a stuffed animal would bring.

Same goes for women's shelters. The kids staying there need alot of comfort.

there are so many babies and children who have never owned a stuffed toy of there own in the hospital try that first,children who have been abandon by parents because they can't handle there Illness, Christmas is coming there are lots of kids depending on us,good idea to get your child involved let her go and pass toys out if permitted to go on children floor in hospital,

Your local fire/police department would be delighted to receive your toys. They give them to children who have survived a traumatic event and this would comfort them. Also, shelters need them, orphanages, hospitals, and elementary schools could benefit from these gifts. What a thoughtful thing to do! If more people extended themselves to others, this world would be a better place. God bless you and your family!
