Why does my Yahoo! mail say I have 99+ unread messages?
I've read them all and there are none in the Trash. The little red spot with "99+" shows up on each computer I try; same result whether I use IE11 or Firefox 29 and 30. I've watched that counter climb every day for the past month or two, figuring it would come to its senses and reset, but that hasn't happened. What's my next step?
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Mail7 years agoHow do make my HP 6700 wireless printer scan to my Windows 8 PC?
It used to scan but stopped a couple weeks ago. I can print to it just fine (B&W and full color), so I know the wi-fi signal works, but when I ask it to scan a document to the computer, the little display tells me to "Make sure the feature is enabled" and to "Open HP Printer software, Select 'Scanner Actions' and then 'Manage Scan.'" Where do I find the HP Printer software and how do I "make sure the feature is enabled?"
4 AnswersPrinters7 years agoWhat's a good non-pejorative nickname for a smart person?
I have a teenage character who needs a nickname. People admire her for her smarts, but I don't want to call her "Brain" or "Genius." Can anyone come up with a complimentary nickname for her?
1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoIs Moshi Monsters suitable for a 9-year-old?
We try to be really careful with our kids and what they view on the 'net. How well does Moshi Monsters protect kids from the "icky" side of the web?
1 AnswerPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoWho else writes as well as Janet Evanovich and Lisa Scottoline? And in the same genre?
My wife has devoured all of their books and wants to find another author who's just as good. Any suggestions? Maybe a useful web site to look at?
2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoMust I secure permission from a publisher to write a novel based on characters in a book I read 30 years ago?
I'm writing a novel that draws on some characters and books written in the 1960's, but I don't want to run afoul of any copyright laws or other rights of the author. What are the rules? Who would be the best advisor to seek?
12 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoAre there any charities that would accept almost new stuffed animals?
My 7-year-old daughter has over 100 stuffed animals in almost-new condition that she wants to donate to other kids. I read once about some US soldier in Afghanistan who was distributing toys to kids over there, but I can't find the articla and haven't seen anything more on the subject.
