Handy Arts & Humanities Answers?
Here you go: my Top Ten List of Time-Saving Arts & Humanities Answers from 6 months on Y!A:
10) No, I do not have the personal e-mail or phone number of Miley Cyrus (or any other celebrity), and anyone who says they do is lying, and even if I did why would I give it to you, and even if I did what makes you think she’d want to talk to you?
9) No, you cannot find your favorite recent book/CD/DVD to download For Free!, because it’s called copyright violation, it’s a crime, and anyway, who says artists are supposed to work their butts off just so you can NOT pay them? You wouldn’t work for free; why should they?
8) If you want to act, act; if you want to write, write; if you want to dance, dance. Everything else is about figuring out how, and you won’t do that sitting in front of a computer.
7) If you have to ask where to get an agent, you’re not ready for one.
6) Shakespeare wrote Shakespeare, Oswald killed JFK, and “The Da Vinci Code” is rubbish. Get over it.
5) Posting your poem/novel/story and asking what everybody else thinks is like taking 300 strangers shopping with you and asking them to pick out your clothes. You’ll get their taste, not yours. The only opinion that matters is your own; learn to trust it, or stop writing. Oh—and if you have to ask for a story idea, you’re not really a writer anyway.
4) You can’t get on the Disney Channel. At all. Enjoy watching it, then spend your energy on something you CAN do.
3) When your Incredibly Adorable 2 year old is ready to be a model or actor, they’ll tell you. In the meantime, try to be a parent, not a personal manager.
2) News flash: history actually started before 1995. So “Rent” and “Wicked”, good as they are, are not the Greatest Shows Ever Ever Ever.
And finally:
1) I know who dies in the last “Harry Potter”, but I can’t tell you—I’ve been sworn to secrecy.
:-)
I'm out.

There may not be a question in there, but I LOVE your post.
Frighteningly, you have my squed sense of humor - that's not good, for you. Mine gets me in trouble all the time!
But, thanks for making me smile!

Well, there go 90% of all the potential Arts and Humanity's questions.
Good thing nobody who writes those sort of questions will ever read this posting - otherwise it'd start to get a bit lonely around here.

Ok, I am laughing my head off. You know the truth about our culture! This was better than Letterman.
