Mustang v6 with flowmasters?
Im bout to get a exhuast kit frtom flowmaster which will take my v6 and make it a dual exhuast, not a true dual, it will split the pipe under the car into two at the catalic converter, then come out with two 2.5 inch outlets. do you think it will sound good or will it be jus a small upgrade to what i got now, standard exhuast.

i have a 2006 mustang convertible with V6. I had flowmasters installed and i also put on a K&N cold air induction system. It's still a lead sled and the exhaust noise is not the deep throaty rumble that i was hoping for.. I'm agreeing with some other of the answerers, It was a waste of money.. next time i will go for the GT with the V8 if i stick with mustang at all. absolutely zero leg room in the back seats.

It'll still sound like a V6. It'll probably sound a tad better but you'll still hear a difference between the V8 and V6. Oh and to comment about the comment above, I don't know how the laws are where you live but in NJ if youre caught without cats, its a huge fine. Plu its a pain in the *** to weld them back under when it needs to pass inspection.

You won't notice a difference in power except maybe at WOT. V6's don't breath that hard. And as for sound, well, it might be a little louder V6.

It will sound good but that's all it will do. You will need more air going inside the engine to match all the air going out. Get a cold air intake for starters, then get some headers. If you have more money to spare you can get the supercharger for your car and add much more horsepower.

it will mae it sound closer to a v8 mustang but not a low of a sound but alot lower than stock if you want to benefit even more from your mustang dont use the cats anymore just ahve pipe straight out you will gain about 15hp just from removing your cats.

Most likely it will just be a small upgrade and won't do anything to increase the performance of your car. Might sound a little better.... if you are just looking to sound throatier. Me, I would do things to increase HP.

personally i hate the way the v-6 sounds when set up like this. me and a buddy rigged up a gt exhasut system on a 1995 v-6 and truth be told the cars sounded awesome at idle, but get it up to speed and is sounds like s h i t!!!!!!!! to much like a rice grinder for my taste, but hey to each there own

,keep it stock, its a wast to do any repairs other that stock but then a gin I am not a kid any more either, you have the ford that's good enough, keeping it stock is where its at, anyone can alter a vehicle but it takes more of a man to keep it stock and save you cash for gas , take care
