Why cannot an inventor invent a simple headgear(helmet) with cooling for 2 wheeler users in tropical country?

Countries such as India, have millions and millions of 2 wheeler users( scooters, motorcycles, mopeds) It is painful to wear heargear( helmet) while driving in 40degrees celsius. Many donot use helmet for this reason. With abundant sun energy , a simple sysytemcan be found. Or , better still, the running wheels of the 2 wheeler can power a simple cooling system for the headgear

Such a thing, if invented, would cost at least Rs. 4000 and weigh about 2 kg. Would you buy???

2 kg is assuming that the cooling system is powered by the two wheeler itself. Batteries would add another 1kg. Or, you'll need to make suitable modifications to your bike, which will cost another 500-1000 Rs (More, if your bike doesn't have a battery).

Simple solution is to tie a wet napkin to the headgear. You may even use some alcohol/acetone to get effective cooling.

Padrino's correct, and the reason idiots don't wear their brain buckets is that they are, well, idiots.

Actually, I live in Savannah, Georgia where the temperature regularly tops 40C, and I wear leather and helmet at all times. The gear keeps the sun off, and the wind of my motion provides all the cooling I really need.

If you are worried about sun heating, get a silver or white helmet. That'll help a lot.

Also, there are vented helmets available. and these silica gel long bags that you can chill overnight and wear around your neck (they work great!).

No need to invent what's already on the shelves, really.

Actually, you stay cooler with all of your gear on as long as you're moving. They did studies with people riding with and without gear and the one's with the gear on had a cooler internal body temp.

You think it would be "simple" to invent something, but think...you'd need a fan...where would you put it without compromising the integrity of the helmet?

The best thing you can do is stay hydrated, wear good heat specific shirts under your jacket and wear light colors.

One more suggestion: Buy a light colored helmet.

Black looks soooooo cool in the showroom but, in the sun it bakes your brain. Go with white/silver. They are more visible and absorb less heat.

    mind blowing at ur thoughts!!!!

for a cooling system to have we need large equipment

and its really impossible to carry all. ofcourse iits difficult to imlement all on ur head ,even though u need only the cooling arrangements u need to connect all the cooling pipes to ur wear head gear which makes it more heavier.

I agree with Grendle (all except the temp toping 104F/40C part in GA). Wear your gear, and wear lighter colors.
