can anyone suggest a good and reasonably price hotel in Manhattan?
having just bought a flight to new york that is two weeks before christmas i plan to spend the trip shopping i would like to know a good clean hotel that is not on the pricey side i have looked up hotels already and wish to get your opinion of the hotels you suggest as the websites dont seem to have anyones reveiws

I agree with the Roosevelt. Nice hotel at a decent rate, ussualy around 200.00 if it isnt too full.
Check any of the Helmsley properties. Range from 150 to 300 They are very reasonable, and also clean and nice.
My best option-- the Fitzpatrick GrandCentral hotel. I got a room for 170.00/nt. I have stated in other hotel at near 400 a night which have not been as nice... You should check it out.

Try the Roosevelt hotel... It usually runs around $150-$200, and sometimes can go for as cheap as $99! Prices may be high this week due to the US Tennis Open, but they should go down in the next week or so.

if you wanna pay $165-200 a night the belevdere is excellent....empirehotels.com
if you really want cheap $65 a night for a single- Very clean but shared bath....4 blocks from macy's americana hotel

Why dont u stay at Deutsch INc, he is giving away his house or his car to save on his federal tax. As u know the more one gives the more one receives. Just thank him from my side for doing the needful after you stay at his place and use his car with the full tank.

Thirty Thirty on 30th between Madison and Park. Clean, fairly good sized rooms, good location.

yes! the gershwin hotel..google it i think it's www.gershwinhotel.com but i could be wrong...very pop art andy warhol-ish yet very simple and cool for like 135 or 150 a night!
