Why can't I burn CD's?

My computer is capable of burning CD's. I have itunes, and I have playlists that I'd like to make into CD's. But everytime I try burning the CD, there is an error. One time I was able to burn one CD without the computer saying that there was an error, but it didn't play in the CD player. Please give me some ideas, I am so stupid when it comes to this stuff!!!!!

try burning from windows media player instead. also, you may have burned mp3s without having them converted them into wavs. thats why you couldn't play them. a good program should do that for you.

are you putting the blank cd in the correct drive? it shouldn't be in the DVD drive. but with itunes it should come up as having a blank cd in the drive and then u click the playlist and hit burn playlist to disk. it should work i do this all the time.

new CDs are coming out with anti piracy code burnt in just for that very reason. basically it leaves certain parts of the disc blank, something your PC burner can't reproduce

or maybe i should have read your question to see that you wre talking about iTunes. i dont know about that. i use Napster or Limewire

You need to move them from iTunes and then burn them. Sometimes iTunes won't let you burn songs directly from there.
