Have you been researching this matter on the internet? I'd love to know what you discover. But honestly, I didn't know they were recalling their cars. I see Toyota's everywhere, and haven't heard of anyone's being recalled. All I hear is that Toyota's and Honda's keep their value better than other makes. I guess I'll find this out when I go to trade it in someday.

Toyota has NEVER had a "recall". Yes you see it in the news all the time; but a "recall" is mandated by the goverment. All of Toyota's incidents were initiated by Toyota volantarily.

I think your essay is gonna be pretty damn short. Toyota is always at the forefront of technology. They are the most profitable mfg and soon to be the worlds largest. They have the $ to do the r&d that the americans and europeans can't afford.
